Progress Update: Delay (Technical Issues)

Still working steadily through getting the stories back up around my other commitments. Thanks again for the many expressions of appreciation and patience.

Date added page: Along the way I've been making lots of little changes to the overall format and available features. There's now a Date Added page, which lists all of the stories by the year and month they were added to the site. (The links are there even if the page hasn't been added yet. I realize that's poor web protocol, but there's only going to be a short period in which it's an issue.)

HTTP redirects: Speaking of the 404 File Not Found redirect (which points to the site home page), one sitegoer suggested I implement HTTP 301 redirects so that links to the old URLs for each story will automatically redirect to the new URL. I've set these up for the standard wiki URL for each story, and those seem to be working properly. Later on I'll set them up for the old Category pages (tags and authors).

Realphabetization: Finally, if you're watching the migration really closely, waiting for your favorite stories to turn up, you might have noticed that the alphabetical progress seems to have stalled. What actually happened was that I realized I needed to implement proper alphabetization, unlike the old system on the wiki, which filed stories beginning with A, An, and The under A, A, and T respectively rather than under the first significant word, as you'd expect. This was prompted by the addition of the latest story by NBCK99, The bonding, because I felt ridiculous filing it anywhere but under B—thus necessitating going back and resorting my list of stories. So the last several batches of story migrations have actually been stories starting with The that filled in the earlier letters of the alphabet.

Author page/contact links: Speaking of NBCK99, I have a doodad in my coding algorithm for adding author websites, email contact addresses, and Patreon pages after the author byline on each story. So if you're an author, send me your webpage links and contact info if you want it to be present alongside your name on your author pages and on all your stories.
