Site Update 29 June 2019

Site Update: 29 June 2019

This week I have another Patreon-commissioned story, this time a couple of college guys who are in for an interesting summer after they find out they can stay in town and work for their cool boss at the pizza place instead of having to go home. Of course, something interesting starts happening as a result that they’re totally not expecting. I like these guys, and it was fun exploring their dynamic.

I also added something to the site this week. I’ve been feeling like the star ratings that get returned in the lists of stories and in the search results are only telling part of the story, and I’ve been wanting to try to visually indicate other factors, like view counts, as an additional point of information alongside title, description, author, and rating to help you find what you’re looking for. So this week I implemented two new sets of symbols: a medal next to the star rating for stories in the highest view count tiers out of all page views since 2010 (blue for top 100, red for top 200, gold for top 300), and a flame icon for stories with the highest view counts in the last 30 days. Hopefully this will add usefully to the information provided when you’re looking for stories, but let me know what you think.

ETA: 750 followers passed on Twitter this week. Not huge, as I said there, but it feels pretty swole!

The next update is 13 July. In the meantime, thanks for visiting, and enjoy the site.
